Accessing Suffolk Online.

You can register using the “Request Access” link on the login page. The registration process can take up to two working days. You will receive a confirmation email once your registration has been processed. If you have any questions please contact the registrations team on 0330 123 1073 (option 1).

You can reset this using the ‘Forgotten Password’ link on the log in page.

This means your firm is not yet registered with us. You will need to select ‘Register New Firm’.

You will receive a confirmation email stating that your registration was complete. This email will provide you with a link which will take you to the Suffolk Online portal. You can then submit your application online.

Use the ‘Forgotten Password’ link. If you have tried this and are still unable to access your account, please contact the Registrations Team on 0330 123 1073 (option 1).

If the system is undergoing maintenance, we will add a service update on various areas of our website. If you have difficulty accessing the Suffolk Online portal outside of scheduled maintenance, please contact us so we can investigate and fix the issue.

The latest two years are required, but there is space for up to three years.

We can only provide accounts for advisers, not administrators.

Submitting a DIP/FMA.

You can download these documents in the Actions section of the the Application Dashboard. You can access the Application Dashboard once once you’ve started an application. Click the ‘Applications’ button in the top navigation and select the ‘Applications’ option.

It is a soft footprint at DIP, hard at full case submission.

Your DIP is valid for 30 days.

All standard residential and later life applications can be submitted via the Suffolk Online portal. All other applications will continue to be submitted via our Ipswich Online portal. Paper applications are limited to additional borrowing and porting. Paper application forms can be accessed from the Useful Downloads page of our website.

For a standard residential application you can enter up to four applicants.

Your progress will be saved once you proceed to the next page of each section throughout the application.

We are unable to assist with Joint Borrower, Sole Proprietor applications at the current time.

Yes, you can submit an application for up to four applicants. However, when you are inputting the income details, do not include income for applicants three and four.

We ask that you check affordability with our business development team, or your BDM, prior to submitting these applications to ensure affordability is met.

Please input joint expenditures under one applicant only.

All offers are valid for three months, excluding new build offers which are valid for six months.

You can normally apply to extend an offer once and up to a maximum of 3 months. This is at the Society’s discretion and the request should be made to the lending team. We will need the applicants updated income information and last 3 months bank statements and confirmation there has not been a material change. A further credit search will also be completed by the Society.

If the mortgage has not completed within the extended period granted, then a new application will need to be submitted.

You will pay any up front fees through the Suffolk Online Portal prior to submission.

Editing an application.

Please email [email protected] to advise of the new product required. Please note that any change in product will result in our affordability assessment being re-run on the revised product and associated product stress rate which may alter our lending decision.

You are able to navigate through each section by using ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ buttons. You are also able to use the summary panel along the top which will allow you to jump to a specific section e.g. commitments, credit profile.

There are three options within this section (residences); first, the mortgaged property with us; the second is an additional main residence; and the third is for any other residential property owned by the applicants. Any let properties are entered within a seperate section.

Documents.

Yes, there are note sections available throughout your DIP and application. You will also have the ability to upload any additional information such as a broker memo and supporting documents prior to application submission.

Documents do not need to be certified for the Suffolk Online portal. We will email your clients a link for them to complete their ID verification checks.

No, all documents will be electronic on our Suffolk Online portal and using DocuSign.

Expat.

No, we are not able to accept foreign currencies on the Suffolk Online portal at this current time. Applications that involve foreign currency can be submitted via our Ipswich Online portal.
